Working with pins on a daily basis reveals several specific opportunities for further development to make documentation more structured, efficient, and workflow-oriented:
A checkbox for selecting all pins would be helpful in the Reports tab—similar to the existing multiple selection in the Pins tab.
Added value:
Faster report creation
Fewer clicks required for larger projects
Consistent operating concept between tabs
With dark pin colors, the pin number is currently difficult to read in black font.
An automatic contrast color (e.g., white on a dark background) would significantly improve visibility.
Use case:
On heavily frequented plans with many pins, the pin number must be quickly recognizable—even with individual color schemes.
Certain pin categories or designs are needed in multiple projects.
Creating these from scratch each time is time-consuming and prone to errors.
Further development:
Cross-project templates
Organization-wide standard pink categories
Import/duplicate function between projects
For structured data entry, fields should be definable as mandatory fields.
Added value:
More complete documentation
Fewer queries
Clearly defined minimum requirements per pin
In order to better map different workflows, a flexible field arrangement within the pin detail view would be useful.
Use case:
Depending on the process (e.g., defect recording, acceptance, internal quality control), information is required in different orders.
A text field as a heading for individual field groups would be helpful for better structuring complex pins.
Added value:
Clear visual structure
Better orientation for users
Illustration of more complex workflows within a pin
These enhancements would make pins even more of a flexible, workflow-capable core tool for project documentation.
